This is not a new concept, but it works because the traditional alternative is genuinely terrible. If your battery dies, your options without mobile service are: call a friend with jumper cables (hope they are available), call a tow truck ($75-$150 just for the tow), get towed to a shop, wait 1-3 hours for them to fit you in, pay for the battery plus shop labor, and then drive home. Matching the Right Battery to Your Vehicle
Not all car batteries are interchangeable. Every vehicle has a specific group size — that is the physical dimensions, terminal location, and terminal type. A Group 24 battery is a different shape than a Group 48, and they will not fit each other's battery trays. Beyond the physical fit, you need the right CCA (Cold Cranking Amps) rating. CCA measures how much current the battery can deliver at 0 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 seconds while maintaining at least 7.2 volts. Bigger engines need higher CCA.
When you call OKC Mobile Auto, we look up your exact vehicle specs. We know that a 2020 Honda CR-V uses a Group 51R (the R means reverse terminal orientation), a 2018 Chevy Malibu takes a Group 48, and a 2022 Ram 1500 with the 5.7 Hemi needs a Group 65 with at least 750 CCA. These are not guesses — they are from the vehicle manufacturer specifications. Installing the wrong size can cause fitment issues, cable strain, or inadequate cranking power.
We stock the most commonly needed sizes for vehicles popular in Oklahoma. The top sellers are Group 24, 35, 48, 51R, 65, and 78. These cover most Honda, Toyota, Ford, Chevy, Nissan, Hyundai, Kia, Jeep, and Ram vehicles on the road. For less common applications — European vehicles with AGM batteries, or certain luxury models with special requirements — we can source them quickly, often same-day. We carry both conventional flooded batteries and AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) options for vehicles that require them.

Our hours are 9 AM to 9 PM, seven days a week, including weekends and most holidays. Batteries do not take holidays, and neither do we. You can call to schedule a specific time slot if you know your battery is getting weak, or you can call when it happens and we will work you in as quickly as possible. Same-day service is available for most calls — it depends on our current queue, but we pride ourselves on fast response.
The service call starts at $99, which includes our trip to your location, a diagnostic check of your starting and charging system, professional installation, terminal cleaning and anti-corrosion treatment, and disposal of your old battery. The battery itself is priced separately because different vehicles need different batteries at different price points.
