Mobile Delivery and Installation: Car Battery Replaced On Site
Oklahoma City & Surrounding Areas
The Complete Mobile Battery Experience
When we say mobile delivery and installation, we mean the entire battery replacement happens at your location. We do not deliver a battery to your door and wish you luck with the installation. We do not install a battery and leave the old one sitting in your driveway. The complete service — delivery of the correct new battery, professional removal of the old one, thorough installation, system testing, and old battery disposal — all happens on site, wherever your car is parked in the Oklahoma City metro.
This is a fundamentally different experience from the traditional auto parts store approach. At a store, you walk in, tell the counter person your car info, hope they look up the right part number, carry a 40-pound battery to your car, and then try to install it in the parking lot. If you have never done it before, you are looking at YouTube videos on your phone while leaning over your engine bay. Did you bring the right socket wrench? Do you know which cable to disconnect first? What do you do with the old battery? And what if the battery was not actually the problem?
With OKC Mobile Auto, you skip all of that. You call, we verify your vehicle, we show up with the right battery and the right tools, and a trained technician handles everything. The entire process takes about 20 minutes of on-site work. You do not need tools, knowledge, YouTube, or even to get your hands dirty. That is what complete mobile battery service should be.
On-Site Installation Details
On-site installation follows the same professional procedures used in a quality shop — just performed at your location instead of inside a garage bay. Our technicians carry everything they need in the service vehicle: battery testers, terminal cleaning tools, wrenches and sockets for every common hold-down configuration, torque specifications, anti-corrosion spray, memory saver devices for vehicles that need them, and a containment kit for safe handling of old batteries.
The installation sequence: first, diagnostic test of the existing battery to confirm it needs replacement. Then negative cable disconnected, positive cable disconnected, hold-down removed, and old battery removed. Battery tray inspected, cleaned, and any corrosion neutralized. New battery placed in the tray, positioned correctly for cable alignment. Hold-down secured. Positive cable connected and torqued. Negative cable connected and torqued. Anti-corrosion treatment applied to both terminals. Engine started and charging system tested at idle and under load.
On vehicles that require battery registration (updating the car's electronic battery management system to recognize the new battery), we perform that step as well. This is common on BMW, Mercedes, some Audi, and certain GM vehicles. Without registration, the vehicle may overcharge the new battery because it is still compensating for the old, degraded one. This can significantly reduce the new battery's lifespan. Not every mobile service knows about this — we do, and we handle it.
